The October issue of
"Sky & Telescope" has a nice article about potential oceans lurking
on other planets. Since most large moons of the outer
giants have vast amounts of water, it's possible other moons have
subsurface oceans. Titan may have one, especially if a little ammonia is
present to act as antifreeze (and there is sufficient radioactive heating from
the core). Apparently, a solution of 1 part ammonia to 2 parts water is
very resilient to freezing (-100C!).
