Given the recent surge of traffic to the list, I want to remind people of a few tips that will help people make the most of this list. (Since I administer the list, and pay for the bandwidth out of my pocket, consider these as more than just friendly suggestions. :-)

* Please be sure that what you're posting is directly relevant to the project, or Europa in general. Given the current high level of traffic, if you're not sure if it's relevant, then it's probably not.

* As a measure to prevent spam from reaching people through the list, messages will only be accepted from those whose email addresses are subscribed to the list. So, if you have more than one email address, you can only use the address you used to subscribe to the list to post messages to the list; messages from other addresses will bounce to me, the list administrator. While I try to remind people when this happens, this is not always possible, so if you post a message to the list and don't see it show up on the list, this may explain why.

* If the number of messages is not manageable, please consider subscribing to the digest version of the list, which combines all the messages into a single message mailed once (or a few times at most) a day. Subscription instructions for the digest version are at http://klx.com/europa/mlist.html.

* To keep the size of messages down, please avoid posting messages in HTML format; use plain text instead. Also, file attachments in general are prohibited, both because of their size as well as their ability to transmit viruses.

If you have any questions about the maintenance of the list in general, please contact me directly at [EMAIL PROTECTED] Enjoy!
