I did some research work on similar bacteria from Carenco basin off of venezuala. It is really amazing at the amounts of bacteria and microbes present. The pictures in this article don't really allow you to see this. The diversity is amazing too with microbes that have endo/ecto symbiotic bacteria that are sulfide oxidizers. During my research I hoped that one day similar organisms would be found on Europa or even Mars. I am glad I am not the only one who saw this connection. Rob
