Bruce: Unless things have changed recently, most people travelling to Woodburn from farther away than Portland (or so) camp right at the track ($10, as I recall), inside the gates.
Basically, you need to arrive before the gates close the evening before (I believe this means arriving before 10pm, but it could be 9pm); you need to get in before the friday night (ICE) drags end. If you arrive after the gates close, just camp out in the driveway ($0) and pull in when they open in the morning. The concession stands open in the morning (though not all that early, perhaps 9-10am), and do serve breakfast food, so you could grab a plate and wander through the pits with it, or wander through the pits and gather up a few hungry EVers to join you at the concession stand. Alternatively, the gates open about 8am, so you could zip out immediately to grab a bite offsite and hurry back to avoid missing the pit action, etc. that will be taking place. There are eating spots within about 10-15min of the track (the track is on the west side of I-5; the eating places are on the east side of it), but nothing particularly outstanding as far I can recall so the concession stand may be a reasonable option. Hope this helps, Roger. > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] On Behalf Of [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: August 28, 2002 1:14 PM > To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Subject: Re: Woodburn breakfast ... > > > > Hi Bruce, > > There is no official breakfast planned, but I know some > do get together.
