Does anyone have any information about directly connecting the DC motor to the wheels using a simple gearbox vice a transmission. I am just throwing Ideas around in my head about what setup to use. My conversion car is an Automatic and I do not want to use the transmission due to efficiency. Please let me know if there is any one who has heard of directly connecting the motor(s).
