Chuck please let us know what the battery model number is, if it is a 6v golf cart or traction battery, what the amp hour or other ratings are, and what is the weight of each battery.
This will let us help you understand whether you are buying batteries that have the thick plate design to last three years, and the lead to give you the range you want. I still recommend our local Hayward USBattery dealer Jim Ramos 510-881-5122 American Battery 22851 Sutro St Hayward CA 94541 You mentioned a 1 year warrantee. That makes an alarm go off, as it seems like a thin plate starting battery with just enough water to last one year (not what you want for an EV). ... I hope you were not thinking that you would just use them, they would die, and then return them when they fail. This has been done before. An EVr local to me, bought 12V group 24 batteries from Costco for using in his Fiat. It worked well, but again the thin plate design meant the battery life was short. He just kept bringing them back to Costco for exchange. I mentioned to him that this is not what you want to do. He likely did not volunteer how he was using them, but when you regularly exchange 24 batteries, even the dumbest store people will figure something is strange. I hope you had not plan to do same. Costco has put in public charging. I would not be right to abuse them or any store in that way. We EVrs are on a higher level (we don't/shouldn't do that). -Bruce ===== ' ____ ~/__|o\__ '@----- @'---(= . http://geocities.com/brucedp .
