With all due respect to Rich -- his chargers are powerful and promising -- the Brusa chargers are an order of magnitude above every other charger I've ever seen in design sophistication and build quality (at least those available to EV hobbyists). They're available in powers up to 10kw. They're also true switching chargers, and keep the battery completely isolated from the power line. Though some others don't think isolation is important, I think it's a critical safety issue. Finally, they're the fifth generation of a fully-developed, tested, proven product. Brusa has been building chargers for road EVs for at least 15 years. Thousands of them are in the field. Granted, they are far from cheap. But if this is to be a no-holds-barred EV, they are a fine choice. I imagine the Siemens chargers would be too. With respect to the other components, I think Viktor is right to consider only products that are fully designed and intended for EV use. That's how you build a reliable EV. David Roden Akron OH USA
