(obligatory EV content): Thanks to all who advised about my secondary motor question, including reams of off list advice from Roger. I have 2 more possible motors to try and a 3rd on the way, and a ton of ideas. I shaved 100 watts off the no-load draw with the first round of tweaks. I'm getting really excited now that a solution to that seems imminent, and I can finally start wiring. Yay!
