Greetings list.

I am working on EV with a bit of a twist and I need a 4wd vehicle with
(I'm thinking) automatic locking hubs in front. I'm thinking about
doing a fiberglass body on an S-10 Blazer frame. Right now I'm
considering this one that's coming up for Auction.:

It's a 1988 with an 4.3L V6, Automatic Transmission (which will be
ditched), and a manual transfer case (NP-231 ?).

The only problem is that I don't know enough about S-10s to tell whether
this has Automatic locking hubs or just something similar to Toyota's
ADD setup where the hubs are permanently fixed to the front drive shaft
and they just disengage the front differential.

Anybody out there know one way or the other?

Oh yeah, I'm also thinking about using the transfer case as a two speed
transmission since it's supposedly 'shift on the fly'. Any thoughts?
I'm aware of the splined input shaft issue (wouldn't it be a kick if
someone made a transfer case that was an exact fit for one of Victors AC
motors?)

Thanks.
