I've been trying to order some MB80-12-8 (Optima size) batteries. I did
manage to reach Peter Whelan at Evercel once by telephone, but since then he
has not returned my calls. They are small company, and are doubtless busy
getting things together after some recent changes.

Based on my one conversation, I expect the price to be about $250 each
(that's 66AH * 12V = 792 WH), or $315 per KWH.

However, their original 83AH size battery (the type that Sheer Pullen has)
was made in Virginia, but they are making the new batteries in China in a
joint venture.
So far I don't know of anyone who has batteries from the new plant, and I
don't have any availability or firm price data.

However, I do notice that they are mentioning EV's on their web site as an
application, and have added sizes close to the same size as popular EV
batteries. The MB50-12-8 is the same size as the 42AH Hawker's that I have
in my truck, and the MB80-12-8 is close to (but not exactly) the size of
Optimas.
For the time being, some patience is necessary while awaiting the new
production to become available.

What's the cost per kWh of Evercells? Where would mortals buy the
larger EV sized modules? Jon Pullen the only person I've heard using them.
