When I was using a Zapi controller I didn't have a precharge resistor at first, and found that one of the contactors would weld closed now and then. I could get the contactor to break free just by turning the ignition on/off again. I added a precharge circuit on the positive contactor and never had problems with sticking contactors again, but the Zapi would sometimes blink it's status LED about 13 times when the ignition was first turned on. If I turned the ignition off and back on, the status LED cycled normally. My asumption was that I had too long of a time delay on the precharge circuit (about 2 seconds), but I never got a chance to correct this before the Zapi died. Ralph
