As a long-time Science News subscriber, I can say that their reporting is first rate. Unlike alot of other media, they don't stop at repeating the information in the original article, but seek out others in the field to get commentary or alternative views on it. That way you not only get the original information, but perspective as well. Unlike other reporters, they usually understand what they are writing. Highly recommended for readability too.
