Currently my keywords are:
electric, car, vehicle, cart, bike, bicycle, scooter, truck,
van, golf, batteries, ultra, capacitor, neighborhood, nev

As the EV market is in a constant state of flux, I will add
or remove whatever keywords needed. I plan to add:
conversion, purpose, built, (and all the EV model names) to
find more newswire items.

...
The hybrid group members POST plenty of hybrid newswire
items on their discussion groups (insight, prius, civic,
etc.). Thus they are a good source for all hybrid news.

As per the EV List charter and user created guidelines, I
minimize the hybrid POSTs to only what would be new, and/or
interesting to the EV List users.

>From the EV List member feedback, I draw what my searches
will be, and I have made an extra effort to have a uniform
Subject line format: EVLN(

This lets people who do not want, or those that only want my
POSTs to use an email filter.

Also I reformat the piece to plain text, 70 character across
as plain ascii text is universal, and some email hosts or
programs skew line lengths longer than 70 characters.

Additionally, I remove the blatant $tock and inve$tment
seeking items as well as the 'four score and twenty-years
ago' legalese (for lawyers) that is at the end. I do leave
the 'forward looking statement' as a Caveat Emptor.

As I have POSTed in the past, these are not the days of the
1990's where there were tons-o-EV newswire pieces and few of
hybrid and fcv.

Now it is reversed. My searches are chocked full of
everything but EV newswire items. %The times, they are a
changing%

...
The fcv and renewable energy items I POST are placed on the
appropriate discussion areas, not the EV List (as per the EV
List Charter and user created guidelines). Links to these
discussion areas are on: http://geocities.com/ev_list/

I have used my title (with Bob Wing's help) to gain access
to major EVAA EVents as part of the press. This requires an
uninterruptable continuous effort to go and document these
EVents and bring the images, experiences, and knowledge back
the EV List
http://brucepd.0catch.com or http://brucedp.150m.com

This access is eye opening. The press that attends these
functions are only concerned with their company making
money, and what companies their readers will want to inve$t
in. They have no knowledge of what the technology is, nor do
they have interest in what the public wants. They have a
life style that needs a fuel vehicle, thus they are biased
to begin with.

I on the other hand, am there as you. On the 'one public
day' the EVAA EVS EVents give, the company reps are far a
few between, the booths are out of literature, and the
public do not get to ride or drive the vehicles.

Using the title as part of the media, I have access to the
rest of the days the public is not allowed to attend. I
approach my coverage as if I am you reaping the benefits of
having press access, seeing it all.

>From ice sculptures to sushi, the reps court the media. It
is the reverse world of automobiles. Where the consumer is
touted as important, but they are locked out, nor listened
to. It is the media that is plied.

...
I was given this title of Editor by the members, and I know
this is a title that has to be constantly earned.

Feedback is welcome and requested.
