So adding a Variac would change its bad boy designation?  I've had good luck
using variac chargers.  Babysit it the first time get the peak voltage
right.  It always comes back to the right place everytime.  You just don't
have any current control except to lower the voltage.   I can't remember it
ever getting above 20 amps....I can charge any battery or combination up to
120v.  Didn't know it would work on higher voltages.   One little thing.  If
you force a battery to take peak voltage right away could the battery be
