I think this problem, while always a challenge to all international commerce, is one that they're probably aware of and much more prepared-for than in the past. A few days ago an article came up in the Wall Street Journal, and I did not share it with EV people because it wasn't EV oriented, but it was quite a good summary of things I've been hearing for years as to how China has become an extrmelely formidable competitor in any number of international industrial production areas. I'm not inclined to post it as I suspect it was sent to me in violation of copyright and I don't want to compound the problem, but anyway. I think the days of American complacency as to the EV business could be numbered if the Chinese really do dedicate themselves to building good highway capable environmentally manageable affordable EVs.
