Sheesh... talk about a one-sided opinion piece! I wonder how he formed such a negative opinion in the 15 minutes of research he must have done for this article. Did he ever SEE a CitiCar, much less talk to any owners, or drive one?

This piece is equivalent to saying that the Apple II computer was a piece of trash that was slow, crude, had pitiful memory, no internet capability, and sold for thousands of dollars. It was obviously a worthless piece of crap, designed by idiots, and that only other idiots would ever buy.

The CitiCar was the cheapest car in America, and even cheaper to drive and maintain. It was built on a shoestring budget, by a tiny company with no money. They did fantastically well, given their limited resources and all the barriers to keep out any new player in the automotive market.

The results have to be judged in context; not by applying today's standards to things build many decades ago.
