Yep, I've climbed down off my high horse and have to admit having done a few 
'donuts' myself in years gone by but, as you say, in an empty icy car park at 3 
in the morning  where I wouldn't offend anyone with the noise and stink - I 
still felt guilty though!

And yes the bits of R&T's (quite long) article you mention are worthy of note.  
But why couldn't they have printed some lovely shots of the drive train or 
something rather than *3* photos of the S, going nowhere and just burning 
rubber?  Clearly the R&T organisation is from the Top Gear school of motor 
vehicle reporting and for that reason I leaves me cold - or actually just 
irritated.

Anyway, at least 95% of the article was positive.  Perhaps there is hope for 
humanity after all...?
