When I worked at Kodak, we routinely used "cold mirrors". These were special mirrors that passed the desired visible light but reflected the infrared. There were filters that did the same thing. The typical uses were to keep the infrared from a projection lamp from overheating the film.

It would make sense to use the same sort of thing for PV concentrators. The IR could be redirected to thermal collectors or something else that could use the heat.
