I had pretty good success selling the Escort Station Wagon EV http://brucedp.150m.com/escort/ I had bought to keep in SF area (Green Motor Works was shutting down at CALSTART's hangar 20 at Alameda NAS, and I wanted to keep the nice EV from being shipped back to LA). Though I was selling it at cost (no profit = at a low price) it took months to sell it (which is typical, one has to be patient when selling an EV).
The success I mentioned was because I used three main ways to advertise it was for sale: http://www.evtradinpost.com/ http://ebay.com/ and on http://craigslist.com listed in the communities near by. I tailored the ads according to the viewers: - evtradinpost was worded for the EV knowledgeable -the other two was worded for the layman But on both, I referenced to my evalbum.com page. Everyone owning an EV should have one of these free web pages. They are very easy to set up (no programming required). The ad body was a couple of lines to spark their interest, then reference to the evalbum URL (address), and then my region of the country, and my contact info (an email address using username [at] domain.com format to thwart spam bots). I notice Sweeney's evalbum page needs updating http://www.evalbum.com/525.html but it does state they are in WA state. Buyers need to know where the EV is to know how much the shipping/hauling costs will be which will be in addition to the purchase price. So perhaps in a couple of weeks when Sweeney re-announces his EV being for sale, they can use my methods and get more visibility for their EV. {brucedp.150m.com} - On Wed, Apr 2, 2014, at 01:58 PM, JOHN P SWEENEY wrote: > Too many cars in the garage. > For Sale > KICKGAS 1988 Electric Pontiac Fiero > Quiet, Economical & Reliable > No GAS, No oil changes, No tune ups, No Noise & No problems. > > Price $ 16K, Pictures available > > ZILLA 1000 AMP High Voltage Controller > Lithium Ion Battery 18KWH W/BMS > Manzanita PFC20 universal input charger > WARP 8 DC traction motor.
