"15% more to cover losses" "When a simple direct connect is nearly 100%
lossless, and so easy to plug in, why would I want to be so wasteful?"
 "BMW&Daimler
developing 3-Hour Wireless Inductive EVSE "
This wireless system is 75% efficient, so it has 25% wasted power.. And
plugs with wire have "Copper Losses" of about 3 to 5% . To
editorialize, IMHO the manufacturers are looking for some distinctive
marketing advantages. Wireless is about as useful as a can of instant spare
tire, because it makes the trunk larger, and costs less, than a tire and
rim, but on a lonely highway, far from town, I have been glad, to see the
spare, in the trunk along with a jack and lug wrench! I feel all drivers
should know: how to use a clutch, change a tire, parallel park, perform
minor auto repairs, and back up a trailer. But, I am experienced, and many
are not! The life skills are being abandoned, and replaced by computer
games... I am climbing down off the soap box now..
