The weight of Ford F-250 pickup is 6,000 lbs with the 6.2 l. diesel. We caually cal a F-250 a 3/4 ton truck. It is the step up from a 1/2 ton truck (Or a SUV) My Ford Explorer weight was 5,350 lb. Station wagons and SUV have stronger frames. (Box instead of C channel frame members.)
