Its good to make your request for EVs way ahead of the EVent date to get the word out to the drivers. I'll assume you would not mind other sources of EVs besides individual owners (the more the merrier, eh?)
Using the U.S. Fed Government EVSE site http://www.afdc.energy.gov/locator/stations/results?utf8=%E2%9C%93&location=23518&filtered=true&fuel=ELEC&owner=all&payment=all&ev_level2=true&ev_dc_fast=true&radius=true&radius_miles=17 shows EVSE contacts to explore. You may be able to entice EV dealerships to bring an EV, if not then a pih. One dealer local to that area that is selling Leaf EVs is http://www.nissanofnorfolk.com/new/page/nissan_leaf_1?dpt=1 The only issue I have had with dealers bringing an EV, is usually the rep feels out of their element, as jsut talking to the public for free is not making any immediate sales commissions (they may want to pack it in early and leave). So, be sure to state to them when to arrive, how long the EVent is, and when they can leave (I have found it is better to have a committed rep than a tired, wanting to leave one). Another way to get the word out to EV drivers is to announce your request for EVs on the various EV forums. This means you need to join their forum to make a post, and word it to get their attention: http://www.teslamotorsclub.com http://www.mynissanleaf.com http://www.myfocuselectric.com http://myimiev.com http://www.mysmartelectricdrive.com http://www.myfiat500e.com to name a few, and if you also want pih, there are forums for each of those as well. I suggest you use a subject that gets their attention, perhaps like Requesting EVs for Norfolk, VA Naval-Base EVent Good Luck :-) {brucedp.150m.com} -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/EV-s-in-Norfolk-tp4671744p4671745.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
