Hi Harry and All, If your 48vdc is an old ferro GC /ForkLift charger you can likely just change the full wave rectifier to a bridge one will double the voltage, keep most of the amps and still regulate as it did before.-------- These are the ones with just a transformer, big cap.---------- Another is MPJA has a 2kw phase inverter/light dimmer or a variac they have in 2kw also.Another is the old standby, a 50-100'power cord and a bridge rectifier bad boy ;^). 1. use the 48 volt charger i have laying around on each half of the pack 2. get a used charger, possibility trading my broken charger [if anyone would want it] and my extra 48 volt charger for it 3. get a new cheap charger [most likely an Elcon HF/PFC 1500 Charger] 4. get a good charger that i could also use for lithiums if i decide to do that. #1, is a pain and i would like to avoid that, #2, would be great if some wants to sell/trade me a used charger, #3 is what it is, #4 would be a good choice if it did not just order a nissan LEAF so i will not really need an other longer range fancy car let me know your thoughts and/or if you have a charger for me harry Albuquerque, NM current bike: http://www.austinev.org/evalbum/1179 current non-bike: http://evalbum.com/1000 _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA) -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
