Hi gang, I was given an S10 EV (US Electricar) with bad pack. I am trying to resuscitate it to see how much of the capacity is still present (as the 100Ah AGM pack was never used after installation!) but sitting for over 10 years with no charging in the last few years has taken its toll and it is not looking good. I can get the pack to ~350V on about 1/3 Amp trickle charge (the onboard charger is not working as it should) but the voltage collapses with the slightest load: just moving under its own power is possible, but only a crawl before the pack tanks to 250V
So, it is likely that I am looking for a pack, either a single string of around 100Ah lead again or do the right thing and go for Lithium. Anybody knowing or having a (used) pack for sale? Another alternative may be totaled/parting out Leaf. I still have 43 cells CALB 180Ah (blue cells) so adding more LiFePO4 cells and installing them in this truck is an option. Since 2 EV trucks is too much, I will be selling one of my trucks, either this 1994 S10 or the 1989 Ford Ranger with a 120V system. The S10 still needs to be added to the EV Album, the Ranger can be found at http://evalbum.com/4259 Cor van de Water Chief Scientist Proxim Wireless office +1 408 383 7626 Skype: cor_van_de_water XoIP +31 87 784 1130 private: cvandewater.info http://www.proxim.com This email message (including any attachments) contains confidential and proprietary information of Proxim Wireless Corporation.
