I've been considering buying a used 500e. Somehow, it escaped me until today that Fiat is discontinuing the gas 500s. It doesn't seem like the company as a whole would be far behind. They always bitched about having to provide the 500e as a compliance car. I'm pretty apprehensive that if I do get one of these cars and something goes wrong with it in two or three years, I won't be able to get it repaired. Or if something goes seriously wrong with the battery, I won't be able to make the warranty stick. On the other hand, I'm in Southern California, where there are, compared to some other places, a lot of people driving 500es. That must be a market for somebody. I've leased two. I really like them, and they're much cheaper used than other EVs. But I'm afraid I might be buying problems. Any thoughts?
