Originally, the plan was to electrify by 2040 but a proposal (I think this has to pass in the King county council) was made to accelerate that to 2035. That will be a total of about 2200 battery or electric trolley buses.
They have been testing 3 proterra buses with 25 mile range for the last few years. $60M has been allocated to buy 120 buses soon and build charging infrastructure. An order for 250 more buses "will be bought" by 2025. By 2030, they expect to be 50% electrified.
