Tesla used induction motors in the model s. I think the plaid uses a pmasynrm 
like the model 3 because it reduced back emf at high speeds and runs cooler 
than the inductance with maxinum starting torque He didn’t talk about the 
performance much in that video only saying they were 96% efficient but not at 
what speeds this is achieved.
