If you think about it a bit, you don't have to remove the bus bars to
attach individual resistors to each cell. You can perhaps use clip leads
and simply connect a set of 12 resistors up to 12 cells.

Yeah, I was wondering if I should do another "take it all to zero"
again since it's highly probably the cells are at different states now.
Doing 30 cells is a bit of a PITA. I can put on a 36v load (I have a
small lightbar that draws several amps) until the pack gets below the
12v or so the lightbar needs. Then I'd have to pull all the busbars
and hook up a bunch of 10w, 2ohm resistors I have - though I only
have about 12 of them, so it would be in several sessions.
