That's an important measurement. It seems pundits focus on the overall
carbon footprint of EVs, which renders much lower support for EVs,
though still positive. But I want my neighborhood to have cleaner air,
too. That's the air I breathe !
I glanced at the root article:
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanplh/article/PIIS2542-5196(25)00257-8/fulltext
but I don't see any definition on how large a "neighborhood" is or how
many many vehicles are in that space. So, the actual number, 1.1% is
hard to quantify. But it is a positive number, and that is definitive.

Subject: [EVDL] EVLN: Proof: EVs == cleaner air
"EVs are supposed to clean up the air, but finding real-world proof has been
surprisingly hard. A new study from the University of Southern California
(USC) says the satellite evidence is finally strong enough to measure ...
for every 200 ZEVs added in a neighborhood, NO2 levels fell by about 1.1%
between 2019 and 2023."
