 Yes, but the rule itself stayed in force, just the attempt to alter
the rule failed.

Appeals may be submitted to the Secretary of the Standards Council at
[email protected].
This is a case where the right stakeholders were not in the room when
the code was written (and there is no retry).

Suggesting that the problem is there needs to be a balanced task group
or working group appointed to get the code right.
The NFPA needs to get the right breadth of stakeholders, to write good code.
We've seen it again and again, especially on EV topics.
The code authors have no experience with EV, and just keep getting it wrong.
