Thanks for asking. I have not done the same testing on Pg 15 that I did
for 11 through 14. Pg 15 was released long after I ran those tests. I
have noticed a general performance improvement with Pg 15 over Pg 10.
Chris Sharp, of PINES, noticed an issue with search performance on
PostgreSQL 12+ while testing. It has been reported and fixed via this
Launchpad bug: https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1999274.
I currently use Pg 15 for most of my work with the Concerto data set,
and I have a copy of our production data that I test occasionally with
Pg 15, at least for some new development and a few bug patches now and
then. I have not noticed any serious performance issues with Pg 15, if
anything it is faster, overall, than Pg 10.
That said, I don't know of any sites using anything more recent than Pg
10 in production. More testing and/or jumping into the deep end are most
welcome.
