Hi All, As these things go, we are actually migrating away from Evergreen (into Alma). Last official day for patrons/staff changing things in Evergreen is this Fri, 5/10. However, the catalog will still be up for a little bit as we plan to migrate to Alma Wed, 5/15.
Firstly, I truly want to thank this community for supporting me/us in MANY ways since my short time at Calvin. Will miss learning from you and with you. Second, wondering what advice you all could give me with gracefully migrating away from Evergreen. My basic plan is: * remove cronjobs that make changes to Evergreen – thinking of things like automated letters * disable all notifications/actions (in Local Administration > Notifications/actions triggers) – thinking of things like automated letters * remove access for patrons to login (and inadvertently change things) in the interim of the 2 systems * hide action options in the catalog (like making requests) during the interim of the 2 systems * after we've completely migrated all data and functions of Evergreen (which will likely take months if not longer), compress and archive the system to a NAS Brian Holda Library Technology Manager Hekman Library Calvin University (616) 526-8673 [cid:02d58bb6-623f-408b-abb9-2b69254a5e86]<https://library.calvin.edu/>
