In yesterday's dev meeting, we discussed an idea to allow code contributors
the option of submitting their work via a github pull request, using
the workflow
that DIG has been using for some time

Note that this is not a proposal to scrap all of our existing workflows and
start using Github for everything (although it could be a small incremental
step in that direction).  This is just about allowing contributors and
reviewers the option of submitting/reviewing patches in the Github
interface rather than the Gitweb interface.

between github and launchpad.  While reviewing those notes, it occured to
me that we could create a Pull Request template in github

that encourages contributors to fill out necessary information like a
launchpad link.

We started the conversation, but wanted to get wider input, so please share
