Hi all, In yesterday's dev meeting, we discussed an idea to allow code contributors the option of submitting their work via a github pull request, using the workflow that DIG has been using for some time <https://wiki.evergreen-ils.org/doku.php?id=evergreen-docs:github-workflow>. Note that this is not a proposal to scrap all of our existing workflows and start using Github for everything (although it could be a small incremental step in that direction). This is just about allowing contributors and reviewers the option of submitting/reviewing patches in the Github interface rather than the Gitweb interface.

While reviewing those notes, it occured to me that we could create a Pull Request template in github <https://docs.github.com/en/communities/using-templates-to-encourage-useful-issues-and-pull-requests/creating-a-pull-request-template-for-your-repository> that encourages contributors to fill out necessary information like a launchpad link. We started the conversation, but wanted to get wider input, so please share your thoughts here! -Jane
