Hi all, In our Evergreen consortium, we are currently addressing an issue with the display of the library branch in the hold pickup location list.
Specifically, the issue concerns a branch in a school library system. The system consists of two branches, one of which is used as an in-house library exclusively for the needs of school teachers and, as such, is inaccessible to common library patrons and has no operating hours. The branch is, however, set as OPAC visible so that patrons can request books from it if necessary. The problem is that the library is visible for more than just searching the catalog. When a patron is placing a hold, it is also displayed in the list of library hold pickup locations, although no hold can be picked up at this specific branch. For the sake of completeness I should probably point out that the system handles holds using the first-in, first-out principle rather than having any complex hold policies. Is there any way to hide this branch in the list of pickup locations that patrons can see when they are placing a hold? Thank you in advance for any suggestions. Eva Mgr.
