Not familiar with that one in particular, but we do use Epsons with similar features... thermal, USB or Ethernet, etc. Each one is given a static IP address, and installed on workstations (along with Epson's drivers of course) as an IP printer (direct, no print server involved).
Works great for us. At the main circ desk, actually have both of them installed on each of the two workstations... if one is down for some reason, can send receipts to the other until it gets sorted out. Have only needed to do that once that I can remember (network folks forgot to exempt one of our "for printers" switch ports from some extra security stuff during an upgrade), but it was handy. -Jeremy -------------------------------------- Jeremiah Miller | 541-619-8285 (cell) Sysadmin | Albany Public Library -------------------------------------- ________________________________________ From: Gina Monti via Evergreen-general <[email protected]> Sent: Wednesday, February 11, 2026 10:30 AM To: Evergreen Discussion Group Cc: Gina Monti Subject: [Evergreen-general] Thermal-Printers and Evergreen [WARNING! Just wanted to know if anyone else has experience with printers like these.
