Podiek shouldn't have skipped Leibniz in his reading list on philosophy (and should've taken his Newton with a grain of salt?). Monads not only don't "wake up" "outside" the(this) unverse, they have no meaning in isolation from it(them), IMHO. (Guess I'm indeed not a Platonist)
