Regulation and engineering are not independent. The first think to do about AGW is
replace fossil fuel powerplants (especially coal fired ones) with nuclear power plants.
But the nuclear power plants need to be modern designs, e.g. molten salt thorium, because
they are safer, don't use cooling water, and are harder to use to make weapons. Nobody
will invest in developing in building such plants though because all the regulations are
designed for old uranium based designs. So the government needs to a) fund some
development work on modern designs and b) write regulations applicable to them. Without
that, no private investment is going to flow to those plants that are needed.

My only objection to all this is the love affair with Regulation (control!) rather then
engineering for remediation, and energy source replacement. If you use Soros-owned Daily

(in a perfect world) scientifically accurate corroboration. But-I am the zero-nonentity,
and arguments are usually not won by reason, but by power/money.
My own microbial point is that I believe AGW is a real phenomena, but its an excuse for
power/regulation. I would opt for 89% engineering solutions, and 11% regulation. Since
we are both serfs, anyway, what would you do for a AGW fix??
