Hi Goyu,
If you read the bug report mentioned in that message [1], you'll see that the
most requested feature was an inverted color option. This feature is
interesting because you can use inverted colors in any format of document
supported by Evince, and it has been proved a good help for users who need high
contrast for reading.
I think that the feature you're asking gor, of changing the background color,
has only marginal benefit. I it seems people is happy with the simple Inverted
Colors, and it has the problem it has to be implemented, IMHO, for every format
supported by Evince. Take into account that developer resources in Evince are
very limited and they usually have to spend their time based on priorities
However, if you think this is a must-have feature, feel free to write a bug
report in bugzilla explaining your reasons and user cases.
