Hi there folks,

Seems we are a busy lot, this ECCO group.

Klaas Chielens helped me get www.salonphilosophique.net website up
after much patience on his part in waiting for me to make up my mind,
and other things. He makes an excellent WebSlave. I apparently make for
excellent "sweat, blood and tears". He isn't complaining yet. There are
spelling mistakes, typos and linguistically taxing expressions - but
feel free to comment!

Maison Ottawa will be launched on 30 July. I hope we can do Washington
and Santa Fe too this year. Let's see.

Poetically yrs,

Subject: [evolcomp] Brussels Complexity

Greetings all,

We are trying to create a (virtual) space for interaction of
researchers interested in different aspects of complex systems in the
Brussels area. We believe that this is important, since there are
people with similar interests, but unaware of other people doing
similar research in the same city.

We have developed a site (still under construction!) at
http://complexity.vub.ac.be ad we would appreciate if anyone
interested could provide feedback on how to improve it.

Feel free to subscribe to the mailing list, and post to it, although
there are not many subscribers yet.

Also, we are seeking for volunteers for two tasks:
-Sketch a brief history of complexity research in Brussels (this might
require making interviews of veteran researchers...)
-Developing a web interface where people could drop in their research
interests, affiliations, and links to homepages, which would be added
to a database. Then another interface to view and search the database.

Best regards,

    Carlos Gershenson...
