This is already the 2nd or 3rd message to evolcomp sent by people who have nothing to do with us about subjects that don't concern us. Apparently the mailing list adress has already been discovered by spammers. I have been very careful not to publish it on the web, but it seems there are viruses that collect all email addresses in the address books of the people they infect, and one of our subscribers may thus have inadvertently passed on the evolcomp address. We cannot do much against that, except that I'll ask the VUB to make it impossible for non-subscribers to post messages.

This may also avoid possible confusions in which *I* redirected some
messages I got from people on other mailing lists, reacting to
messages that were sent to evolcomp, possibly creating the impression
that these people too were on evolcomp. Evolcomp is a mailing list
exclusively for ECCO members, as listed on the ECCO page:
http://pespmc1.vub.ac.be/ECCO/ Next time I forward an interesting
reaction, I'll do it from my own address...
