I have made some small changes in the configuration of the evolcomp mailing list.

First, it is no longer possible for non-subscribers to distribute messages on the list. This should solve the problem of the spam (unsolicited messages with publicity or scams) that we have had over the last weeks.

Second, as you notice, I have changed the prefix in the subject line from:

[evolcomp]
(original name of the list, which is maintained in its email address <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>)

to:

[ECCO]
(new abbreviation of the "Evolution, Complexity and Cognition" research group, see http://pespmc1.vub.ac.be/ECCO/).

This should better reflect what this list is intended to be: a communication channel for the members of this group, rather than just a general discussion list about evolution and complexity.

If you would prefer no longer to receive the messages from this list (which I hope will increase in volume as our research activities get up to speed), you can easily get off the list at any moment by sending the following two line message to the address <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:

unsubscribe evolcomp
end

Or even simpler, you can just send me (the list administrator) a little note, and I'll unsubscribe you.
