Hi, if you want to install packages built against other packages from certain distribution, then yes, you should have them built/installed too, which usually means to upgrade your system to that particular version. The other option is to build locally on the machine, either from sources or from source rpms, which requires to install devel packages, and such. That all is quite out of scope of this list, maybe some fedora-specific list exists, I'm not sure.
