With the release of 3.12.0 next Monday, Evolution and E-D-S will transition to an annual instead of semi-annual release schedule.
This is primarily to compensate for the long delays between upstream releases and distribution releases, and will give Evolution users more time to upgrade to and use a version supported by the development team. The Evolution release schedule will consist of monthly updates to both our development branch and latest stable release branch throughout the year into February, and will then sync up with GNOME's SPRING release schedule, starting with the .90 release through the final release, honoring all the announcement and freeze periods therein. Package maintainers of distributions on a semi-annual release schedule should plan accordingly.
