Hi, it depends on the actual backtrace of the running/stuck evolution. I guess you face this bug: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=712392 also because there really didn't change much in this regard in evolution between 3.13.5 and 3.13.6. The fix is included in today's 3.13.7 release, together with other semi-related fixes. Backtrace matters here, but I'd guess this is related to server address resolutions (it uses to be), thus also related to the above bug.
