I am unable to compile e-d-s with this version on FC4, with:
gcc (GCC) 4.0.1 20050727 (Red Hat 4.0.1-5)
The config output is the same as 2.3.4 (for example):
evolution-data-server has been configured as follows:
LDAP support: /opt/evo-openldap (dynamic)
NNTP support: yes
Kerberos 4/5: no/yes (MIT)
SSL support: yes (Mozilla NSS)
SMIME support: yes (Mozilla NSS)
IPv6 support: yes
Exchange support: yes
Dot Locking: yes
File Locking: fcntl
Gtk Doc: no
In e-d-s 1.3.4 ../mutex/mut_tas.c is compiled first, fine. But in
e-d-s 1.3.7 the first thing compiled is hsearch:
/bin/sh ./libtool --mode=compile cc -c -I. -I./.. -I./../dbinc
-D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -O2 ../hsearch/hsearch.c
mkdir .libs
cc -c -I. -I./.. -I./../dbinc -D_GNU_SOURCE -D_REENTRANT -O2
../hsearch/hsearch.c -fPIC -DPIC -o .libs/hsearch.lo
../hsearch/hsearch.c:1: error: stray '\237' in program
../hsearch/hsearch.c:1: error: stray '\244' in program
../hsearch/hsearch.c:1: error: stray '\1' in program
There then follows a long string of such errors.
Can anyone suggest what I am doing wrong? gcc
