Local contact databases now get a summary file generated for them. It should speed up all queries that exist in the UI by a large margin. On my machine it drops an "Email is" query over 20k contacts from ~20 seconds to < 1 second. So completion when using local folders should also be substantially faster.
Please let me know if you find any problems with searches (matching cards not showing up in the result set, for instance) over local contact folders.
