Well, unfortunately the Evo path and version is kind of hardcoded, thus
mail-notification needs to be updated when Evo is.

Updating and fixing this is the distros duty, IMHO.

Since the *-2.8.diff is updated to work with the current devel versions
of Evo and the next stable major release, this particular patch will not
work for Evo 2.6.

Anyway, the above link points to CVS HEAD, whereas the gnome-2-14 branch
sure still has the proper fix for Evo 2.6.
