I guess I should clarify some here - users don't have evo set to fetch Internet content by default. It appears that the default behavior of evo is to allow hyperlinks but not graphics from inbound HTML-based e-mail. When a user clicks on a hyperlink in a message that opens a web page or other Internet content regardless of whether or not they've "Loaded images", we've seen the Evolution reading pane crash. It appears the behavior happens when evo tries to call FireFox or other applications. I hope this helps.

I'm not sure this is really the problem. By default Evo doesn't fetch any images or content, so unless your users have enabled that to happen by default (why?!?!) it shouldn't be a problem. Maybe you're seeing this bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=435620 I still run into this in Evo 2.12; it would be nice if someone fixed it. There should be plenty of info in the bug and attached emails to allow it to be reproduced and fixed. The problem might be in gtkhtml though, not Evo per se. Note that in order to be this bug, the CPU must be active while Evo tries to display the message. If the CPU is idle it's something else (you didn't mention either way). Other than that and a few other small glitches Evo 2.12 has been easy to upgrade to and works better than previous releases. I do get occasional hangs for no apparent reason (no CPU overload), but they don't last that long. -- Rob Cambra, MCSE, CCA Amesbury Group IT Manager Sealing Solutions Division Extruded Products Division Tel: 704.978.2888 Cell: 704.929.0966 Fax: 703.991.0043 E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Scientia est potestas *** Before printing this e-mail, think if it's necessary.
