Evolution implements a very impressive instantaneous "Body contains"
search for locally stored emails.

But that only seems to work for words made of english
letters. E.g. search for words in Cyrillic KOI-8 encoding doesn't
return any results.

Is it possible to do such a search in evolution?

I have to use google-desktop to do such searches, but the results are
displayed in a browser, which is inconvenient. Also, neither tracker
nor beagle work reliably with evolution, nor they currently work well
with thunderbird or kmail (in latest Fedora and Ubuntu).
