Ubuntu 10.10 has 2.30.3.   I'd like 2.32.whatever

Yes, I still have those. Paul's makefile didn't get me anywhere. But the
suggestions from Thomas did, so I'd like to continue along that path.

This does not bring in the versions that evo 2.32. needs
